Describe a day in the life of Dima and Tania Nawbar:

Every day is a new day. There are no more typical days. In our world, there are new difficulties to factor in, but our main aim is to keep bringing out imagination to life and staying positive and creative.

Why did you choose this particular category for your brand?

We chose luxury high end jewelry because we grew up with jewelry, big diamonds and necklaces, that we feel spend most of their time in a safe. We wanted to make versatile yet high fashion jewelry that can be enjoyed daily and make an outfit on their own. Our aim was to create jewelry that expresses individuality. Therefore, we offer so many customizable portions to make it your own. We believe in adding some fun, colors and humor into your life.

What is the top trait your brand is most known for?

L’Atelier Nawbar pieces are timeless, colorful and versatile. Our jewelry is an ode to the old and the new and praises individuality. We create modern luxury heirlooms that transcend generations and speak the universal language of art. This is the L’Atelier Nawbar magic!

What’s a surprising fact about you or your brand that your customers may not know yet?

We pride ourselves on our efforts in promoting a culture of sustainability within our processes. We use ethically sourced materials and, in the scope of reducing waste, we encourage our clients to adopt eco-friendly choices by upcycling, remodeling or exchanging their jewelry with new pieces from our latest collections.

We are committed to empowering and training women and older artisans who still work to keep their livelihood.

We also create collections inspired by the world that moves around us in order to highlight its beauty and raise awareness on the importance of preserving it.

Which other designer part of the EW family do you admire & why?

We admire all the designers because we know what a struggle it is to stay focused on your design.

We would like to give Roni Helou an extra shout out for his quick reflexes and efforts on helping the design community. We remember viewing his first collection and being super impressed by his mix of materials.

Jessica K is very wearable and accessible clothing brand, we do own a few pieces.

And we’ve been getting to know some of the other EW designers, and we are looking forward to keep following their journey.

What do you hope your customers feel or appreciate most while wearing your pieces?

We hope our clients would feel stylish by expressing themselves with handcrafted pieces that could fit in any culture and any age. We are children of the world. We take classics and make them trendy yet timeless.
