EASTWAVE Season 1 Wrap Up
As season 1 comes to an end, we commend our talented family of designers who persevered with us despite the most challenging of times. In addition to the Pandemic, the Beirut blast left our Lebanese designers such as Sara Melki, Roni Helou, Aura Headpieces and more in devastating circumstances, forcing some to pause their manufacturing or worse, close down their studios. Thankfully with our customers’ help, EW as able to donate a portion of our August sales to the UNITED FOR LEBANESE CREATIVES campaign towards rebuilding the creative community in Beirut.
During the 10 weeks, we collaborated with our established Season 1 platform host, Maison Orient and The Rondeau, to bring users a seamless, online experience. We also witnessed major PR milestones in the USA via our accomplished PR partner TATA in Los Angeles, such as Kylie Jenner sporting Aliel (not once, but twice!) and getting Mrs. Keepa featured on The Megan Pormer Show and Tik Tok sensation’s Bebe Rexha’s new music video. Across MENA, we thank our supportive media and influencer partners such as Vogue Arabia, Mille World, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Hia Mag, Dana Hourani, Karen Wazen, Hannah Rasekh, Dana Malhas and more to help spread our unique mission from the get-go.
Getting to know each of our 15 fashion and jewelry designers and their common goals to share their design passions with more people around the world is what fueled the EW team to persevere during these challenging months.
