EW: What have you been up to so far in 2021 when it comes to your brand?
MRS. KEEPA (ready to wear)
“2021 is gearing up to be a big year for us as a brand. Taking in all the enlightenment the past year has given us and branching out into new territories and markets while staying true to our roots. Since our last season with EW, we launched our Pre-fall winter 21 collection which for the first time ever, included unisex and gender neutral pieces. Our prolific team has been hard at work on our new Spring Summer collection which is set to introduce a more inclusive range of designs and silhouettes from sustainable leather. Available for pre-orders soon. In addition to this, we’ve also been tackling sustainability in our everyday operations by growing our Mrs. Keepa Junior and masks line using left over fabric from production, while also growing our strategic partnerships with various creatives from our industry.
All in all, we at Mrs. Keepa are evolving towards dressing all age groups, no matter who you identify as or what size, while religiously remaining true to our brand’s DNA and being continually committed to sustainability in our operations and business practices.”
AURA HEADPIECES (accessories)
“After the bomb incident in August, I left Beirut before the lockdown started to go stay in Miami with my brother and try to launch Aura in USA. Since our store is temporarily closed at home, I wanted to explore a new market - which is why I came to the USA.
We are now working on a new collection called ‘Winds of Change’ – which contains delicate pieces meant to be worn by brides who are having evolved, modern and intimate wedding celebrations, also called ‘minimonies’ (mini ceremonies). We also created a small line that’s called ‘Something Blue’ because we believe everything has new meaning now and we really cherish these celebratory moments more than we did before. We decided to create Love Boxes which can be gifts from the bride to the bridesmaids and vice versa. You can find bouquet frames, earrings, headpieces, broches, jewelry cases and albums in blue or white. And we are still focusing on our ‘Eternal Bouquet’ which is big for us. We are targeting fashion too – the nice statement earrings, barrettes, ear cuffs, long earrings, etc. using discreet touches that are still a statement. It can only get better. To new beginnings!”
